Kitchen and Bath Sinks

Kitchen and bathroom sinks, and all the hardware you need to install.

Why it is Important to Replace Sinks when Remodeling Kitchen or Bathroom Cabinets
If you are planning to remodel your kitchen or bathroom which includes new cabinets, countertops, or color designs then you should consider replacing the sink as well. There are a number of reasons why replacing the sink is important when changing the overall style of your kitchen or bathroom even if the sink is relatively new.

The sink ages more than most other features in the kitchen or bathroom because it is used so heavily on a daily basis. Not only the sink, but the drainage pipe might need to be replaced as well. Your remodeling effort provides the opportunity to put in a new sink that will be the same age as the new cabinets, countertops, and overall design that you are putting into place.

If you are having any issues with your current sink, now is the time to get a new one especially if you are replacing the countertop. Pulling out the old sink and putting in the new one is actually much easier during an overall remodeling effort than doing it separately. So, if you were having some issues with your sink and are planning on remodeling your kitchen or bathroom, it pays to do both at once since it will save time, effort, and money in the process.

When sinks were originally installed in the kitchen or bathroom, they were of a design that matched the overall area which includes the countertops, colors, and patterns that were put into place. When you make substantial changes to your kitchen or bathroom, you are changing the style which makes the sink stand out like a sore thumb.

Improved Design
Perhaps your sink is still in good shape, but has been surpassed by newer, better designs. This is particularly true of kitchen sinks which have changed remarkably over the years. You may find that your remodeling effort is the perfect excuse to get an improved sink design for your kitchen or bathroom. An improved design means a more functional, more efficient kitchen or bathroom.
Better Materials

You may find that the sink you have today is not up to snuff in terms of the materials used in its construction. Replacing your sink at this time means getting another with improved materials that last longer with proper maintenance. To replace old porcelain sink with a stainless steel on in the kitchen for example means getting a product that should last longer and look cleaner under normal use conditions.

When you are thinking of remodeling your kitchen or bathroom, be sure to include the sink if the project includes adding a new countertop, cabinets, or other major changes. By putting in a new sink when you remodel, you are making sure that everything is of the same age, style, and overall appearance for a fresher look. Plus, you get a new sink which will last for many years of use under normal conditions and can even help sell your home if you are thinking of putting it on the market.
